unREAL has landed a fourth season, even before the third has aired. Impressive.

Lifestyle seemingly can't get enough of Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer's darkly comic satire of the reality television industry, as they did exactly the same for the third season too.

According to TVLine, executive producer and showrunner Stacy Rukeyser will be returning for the show's fourth outing as well.

UnREAL follows TV producer Rachel (Shiri Appleby) who is encouraged by her boss Quinn (Constance Zimmer) to do what it takes to generate salacious content to boost TV ratings for their Bachelor-like show, Everlasting.

This season Caitlin FitzGerald (Master of Sex) will join the cast as Selena who is the first ever female lead for the reality series, hoping to find love in the show within a show.

It was announced last year that Amazon Prime has nabbed the rights to UnReal in the UK.

"We're pleased to be able to bring this celebrated show to Amazon Prime members in the UK and Germany," said Amazon Prime Video EU vice-president Jay Marine.

"Joining Golden Globe winners like Mozart in the Jungle, Transparent, the forthcoming Clarkson, Hammond and May show The Grand Tour, Mr Robot, Outlander, and many others, UnREAL is a great addition to our line-up of TV shows you can't watch anywhere else."

UnREAL season three will air on Lifestyle and Amazon Prime in early 2018.
