Bruce Springsteen Performs Purple Rain Tribute

Bruce Springsteen opened up his concert in Brooklyn on Saturday with a tribute to Prince, singing Purple Rain with the E Street Band. The tribute was the third the band had made this year, including commemorations made to David Bowie and Glenn Frey. The Barclays Center was lit in purple as Springsteen sang, with an emotionally charged solo by Nils Lofgren. Springsteen said “Prince forever! God bless” as the song came to an end.
