Viral sensations Rosie McClelland and Sophia Grace Brownlee thrilled fans by returning to Ellen DeGeneres’ show for one last performance of 'Super Bass'.

The cousins from Essex made a huge splash in 2011 when millions of people watched a clip of them covering Nicki Minaj’s track.

Since then they have been on The Ellen DeGeneres Show several times.

And they went back for a final rendition of the song before the US programme comes to an end.

Explaining how the video came about, Brownlee, 19, told DeGeneres: “As a child, I always used to play dress up. So did me and Rosie. I was dressing up, and Rosie's favourite costume happened to be the Virgin Mary - you know, Mary and Jesus.

"I was round and Rosie was wearing the outfit. I kept singing Nicki Minaj all the time and my auntie, Rosie's mom, was the only one who had an iPhone.

"She said 'Why don't we film it? Rosie, quickly get out of the Virgin Mary outfit and get into that outfit’.”

Over the years the girls have met stars such as Justin Bieber and Minaj and are now pursuing music careers themselves.

Fans were thrilled to see McClelland, 15, and Brownlee on the show again.

"Sophia Grace n Rosie performing Super Bass again after 11 years healed my inner child," one tweeted.

"I’m crying at Sophia Grace and Rosie being back on Ellen performing Super Bass," said another.
