Walker spoilers follow.

Walker star Lindsey Morgan has confirmed that she is "100%" open to returning to the series, just a few weeks after announcing her exit.

Back in October, Morgan revealed that she would stepping down from the series as Micki Ramirez for "personal reasons". "Please know that I will continue to root for my TV family and wish them all the best," she said in a statement.

Now, following yesterday's (December 9) season two mid-season finale, Walker fans have seen how Micki split from her partner Cordell Walker and walked away from Austin.

After struggling with what happened while she was undercover, Micki decided to ultimately turn in her badge and gun and return to San Antonio to re-evaluate her priorities.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Morgan revealed that she would be open to a possible return "100%. No questions asked."

Opening up about her decision to leave the series, which stars Supernatural's Jared Padalecki, the actress said it was one of the "hardest decisions" she's ever had to make.

"It's really interesting because my life can parallel Micki's a lot, and this was kind of a similar instance," she explained.

"I really need to take the time to take care of myself and my well-being, physically and emotionally and mentally, and re-evaluate how I got to where I am and make some changes.

"My life had been so much about my career. I had not cared for myself enough during my 20s. All of that work and running and ambition, it caught up to me and now I'm facing a lot of burnout."

Morgan also shared her experience of filming Micki's final scenes, admitting that she had "trouble memorising" her lines.

"I realise now I was trying to protect myself from really feeling those emotions and really feeling the gravity of it all for Micki and for Lindsey," she added.

"And then finally I just surrendered and I was like, 'You know what? Let me just feel all these feelings,' and it hit me like a tsunami."

There's no doubt that the cast of Walker would be thrilled to have Lindsey back in the future, if she ever decides to return.

Following news of her exit, Morgan's co-star and on-screen partner Jared Padalecki offered his support. "Lindsey is a wonderful person, inside and out. I am proud of, and grateful for, her work on Walker," he said. "Moreover, I'm honoured to consider her a friend."

Walker airs on The CW in the US. It has yet to confirm a UK air date.
