The trailer for the next episode of The Walking Dead should quieten those who think the show has outstayed its welcome.

After a solid midseason premiere, which may have killed off two of its main characters, the tenth season of the AMC series appears to be going strength to strength.

Next week’s instalment, titled “Stalker”, sees two worlds collide as two Whisperers arrive at Alexandria: Gamma (Thora Birch) – who tries to warn Gabriel (Seth Gilliam), Rosita (Christian Serratos) and company about Alpha’s trap – and Beta (Ryan Hurst), who has been ordered to bring Gamma home to be executed in front of their people.

Rather terrifyingly, the trailer shows that Beta doesn’t just arrive at Alexandria – he gets inside.

The most recent episode featured a pretty eyebrow-raising sex scene that was branded “disgusting” by viewers.

This season as well as the drama’s previous have been hailed as a return to form by fans who criticised the seventh and eighth outings.

The Walking Dead airs in the UK on FOX at 9pm and is avalable to view on NOW TV.
