Yahoo News The Wanted's Nathan Sykes announces engagement
The Wanted star Nathan Sykes has announced that he is engaged.
The singer revealed that he popped the question to girlfriend Charlotte Burke, and did so in a place that holds a lot of meaning to her.
Sharing pictures of them embracing on a St Lucia beach to his Instagram, writing: "A few nights ago I took @_charlotteburke_ to the same beach in Saint Lucia that her parents got married on many years ago to ask her a certain question and … She Said Yes!!!"
"That's AMAZING!!!!" commented Wanted band mate Max George. "Congrats to both of you!!"
Sykes and Burke made a shared follow up post with a sunset beach photo, writing: "Just wanted to say the biggest thank you for all of the kind messages, we are so grateful and so, so happy."

Earlier this year, Sykes, George and their bandmates Tom Parker, Jay McGuinness and Siva Kaneswaran set out on a greatest hits tour, playing as a five-piece for fans one last time after Parker had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
Weeks after the final date of the tour, it was announced that Parker had passed away at the age of 33.
"Tom was the most passionate, funny, driven and inspiring person you could wish to meet and I'm so grateful that I was given the honour of being a part of his journey, and even more grateful I can call him my friend as well as one of four brothers," Sykes wrote after Parker's death was announced.
He added: "He was the reason that the band came back together and the last 6 months have been the greatest pleasure of my life. Our lives will never be the same… Thank you Tom for bringing your light to the world. I hope we meet again one day, rest well, brother."
