Zach Braff has addressed the possibility of a Scrubs reboot, suggesting that all the cast members would be on board.

The cult comedy series has been off air for well over a decade, having run between 2001 and 2010 for nine seasons – though given the prevalence of TV reboots at the moment, the show would no doubt be prime for a return.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter alongside co-star Donald Faison, the pair were asked about whether a reunion was a possibility in the near future.

"Every time we speak to a reporter, we get this question," Braff replied. "There are no plans. We all want to do it in some capacity, whether it's a movie or a limited series or something.

"It's just that we can't do it without the king of all-things Scrubs, [creator] Bill Lawrence. He just signed the biggest deal of all time and he is a bit busy. When Bill's available, so sometime in 3004," he joked.

"But in all seriousness, if the thing was right, I'm sure there's not a single cast member that wouldn't love to come back together and do it in some form."

It comes nearly two years after Braff admitted he would like to reunite the Scrubs crew for a movie, in a vein similar to Psych.

"We talk about that [a reunion], because I point to Psych, who's now made two successful films. It would be fun," he said on the Fake Doctors, Real Friends podcast with Faison. "I think it would be fun for us to all do something like that."

He added: "We just have to get Disney to be into it and Bill Lawrence to be into it. I think it will happen; the fans seem to really want it to happen."

Scrubs is available to watch on Disney+.
