Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist was sadly cancelled by NBC after two seasons earlier this year, but in an (ahem) extraordinary turn of events, it looks like it could be coming back.

As reported by TVLine, the people behind the show are in talks with Roku (the company behind the streaming sticks and smart TVs) to create a two-hour movie for its Roku Channel, which previously revived Reno 911!

New episodes of the show could also be ordered if the movie performs well for Roku. A third season was hopefully meant to come to streaming service Peacock before those talks fell through, so it's likely the creators have ideas in place already.

At the moment, deals for the actors are reportedly being worked out, including Jane Levy and the rest of the primary cast.

There have been a lot of fans campaigning on social media to revive the show, with showrunner Austin Winsberg encouraging them, insisting that he knows the networks and streamers are listening.

"I believe we can have a real chance somewhere else," he wrote on Twitter last month. "But the more fan support we can throw behind it - the better.
