Lawyers acting for the woman who accused Cristiano Ronaldo of rape have appealed for another alleged victim of the player to come forward.

Ronaldo was arrested in London in 2005 on suspicion of rape but was not charged with a crime.

Leslie Stovall, representing Kathryn Mayorga, spoke to The Sun newspaper and said he wanted any other accusers to come forward and speak to him.

Mr Stovall said: “I’m only aware of one person in England who alleged sexual assault. I would love to speak to that woman. I would be interested in identifying and contacting them.”

At the time of arrest, Ronaldo was 20 and a Manchester United player. He was accused of rape by a French-African woman at London’s Sanderson Hotel.

The Crown Prosecution Service decided there was not enough evidence to bring charges.

Another woman also alleged she was attacked by Ronaldo and his cousin on the same night, but later withdrew her claims.

Stovall also said it “may be beneficial” if documents procured from the Football Leaks investigation, are released to the public. They allegedly contain exchanges between Ronaldo and his legal team that sees Ronaldo acknowledge Mayorga said “no” and “stop” during the incident.

Ronaldo has denied the claims.
