Pep Guardiola has broken his silence on the Yaya Toure race row – as the player’s agent oddly vowed to place a curse on the Manchester City boss.

The Ivorian, 35, claimed this week that the Spanish coach has a problem with African players.

Toure, who left City after eight years in the Premier League last month, has spoken out against Guardiola in an incredible parting shot.

He accused the City boss of “having problems with Africans wherever he goes” after leaving the Etihad.

Guardiola has today been given the chance to respond to the damaging accusations.

Passing up the chance to reply, he told reporters at the PGA Catalunya. “I’m not going to comment on those comments. I have nothing to say.”

Toure’s agent took things a step further – and warned of a curse which will be placed on Guardiola.

“God sees everything,” said Dimitry Seluk, angry at the treatment of his client. “As a man who acted with Yaya, the legend of the club, which under different pretexts did not give the opportunity to go on the field.

“He turned all Africa against himself, many African fans turned away from Manchester City. And I’m sure that many African shamans in the future will not allow Guardiola to win the Champions League.

“This will be for Guardiola an African curse. Life will show whether I am right or not.

“Nothing good can be said about the human qualities of Pep Guardiola.

“The fact that Guardiola ended Yaya’s career in Manchester City is not a mistake but a crime.”
