Outgoings are expected at Rovers with the pre-season friendlies now concluded.

Jon Dahl Tomasson expects James Brown and Tyler Magloire to be among those to secure moves elsewhere.

Dan Butterworth has also struggled for minutes in pre-season, featuring just once, and after finishing last season on loan at Fleetwood Town, he could also be primed for a move away.

The arrival of Callum Brittain is set to trigger movement for Brown, who joined Rovers from Irish side Drogheda United in January.

He signed a new deal several weeks after his arrival and made his debut on the final day of last season at Birmingham City, as well as featuring in the opening pre-season friendly at Accrington Stanley.

Brown hasn’t featured since because of injury, but is expected to move out on loan in this window, though Tomasson wasn’t able to provide any clarification as to when that might happen.

Like Brown, Magloire also started the opening pre-season game at Stanley and then also played at Dundee.

He hasn’t been involved since, with Hartlepool United, where Magloire has previously spent time on loan, interested in a move.

However, it appears that another of his former loan clubs, Northampton Town, are keen on a permanent move for the 23-year-old whose one-year option in his contract was taken up by Rovers in the summer.

He played four times for Rovers last season before leaving for the Cobblers on loan in January, his loan spell cut short by a shoulder problem.

Yet he has fallen down the pecking order at Rovers following the impressive displays in pre-season of Sam Barnes and Ash Phillips, while Rovers are looking to strengthen in that position this summer.

Of Magloire, Tomasson said: “There is interest in him. He trained (on Saturday), a very professional boy. He trained very hard with a tough session for those that didn't play.

“He's a player that will probably leave Blackburn.”

Sam Burns netted another two goals for Rovers Under-21s as they beat Chorley on Saturday, and clubs are expected to circle for the striker who was in fine form in the first half of last season before a loan move to Scunthorpe United.

Dundee, who Rovers played in pre-season and are managed by ex-Ewood boss Gary Bowyer, are thought to be looking closely at a number of Rovers’ young players.
