New footage of the altercation between Patrick Vieira and an Everton fan has emerged which shows the level of abuse directed towards the Crystal Palace manager.

Everton fans invaded the Goodison Park pitch at full-time of the 3-2 win which confirmed their Premier League survival with one game to play, having trailed 2-0 at half-time.

However, ugly scenes soon followed as Sky Sports cameras caught an altercation between Vieira and an unidentified Everton supporter. New footage lays bare the scale of the abuse.

The clip, posted on Twitter but allegedly not by the original source, is filmed from the perspective of the fan as he confronts Vieira by putting his phone up to the manager's face.

The fan shouts "suck on that, you muppet, get in" before cheering loudly and then holding up his middle finger to the Palace boss, adding "F--- off!"

The camera then shakes wildly as more expletives are heard and other fans approach, then cuts out.

Vieira refused to address the incident in his post-match press conference.

The Football Association, Standard Sport understands, are looking into the incident.
