Alan Ritchson Shows off His Jacked Physique

We know that Alan Ritchson is jacked. He was incredibly jacked for the first season of Amazon Prime's Reacher, and judging by photos the man mountain posted to Instagram, Reacher and Ritchson will be just as jacked for season two of the show.

Ritchson recently took to Instagram to reveal how he'd "broke 240lbs" for the role. Putting that into perspective, the actor usually walks around at 205lbs, but gained 30lbs for season one, leaving him at 235lbs.

He's a little heavier going into season two, which can only mean one thing, we're going to be seeing a bigger and badder version of the character during the upcoming season (if that's possible).

Speaking to Men's Health US prior to season one, Ritchson spoke of how difficult it was to gain 30lbs and be convincing as Reacher.

"Have you ever put on 30lbs?" He said. "It’s a full-time job to eat enough to put on 30lbs. I had an assistant whose only job was to bring me food. It was like a conveyor belt of smoothies and protein."

Despite the difficulties, the Reacher actor did let slip that not all of his meals were clean, and thankfully he was able to sneak in a cheat meal here and there.

"I would order the crew Popeye’s chicken sandwiches (and) cookies, just so I could get the kind of calories I wanted. It looks like a goodwill gesture. 'Leave a dozen of those in my trailer, please!'"

Let's hope a few Popeye's meals made their way into Ritchson's diet this time around too.

Reacher season two is expected to be released in summer 2023 and will be based on the book Bad Luck and Trouble, which is the 11th book in the Reacher series.
