You Can Buy A Pink Gin Cake At Asda Right Now
Let's be honest, 2020 has started off fairly badly. To say it’s been a garbage fire so far, would be an understatement, tbh. But things are looking up, people!
Asda has just announced that it’s launching a delicious pink gin cake.
The super-cute pink cake is made up of layers of madeira sponge with a pink-gin flavoured soak, combined with sweet jam. It’s then covered with pink icing and miniature, edible gin bottles for added wow-factor. I mean, when have mini edible gin bottles ever not been adorable?
Sarah Burns, Asda product developer, says about the dreamy cake: “We know our customers love a novelty cake and this one, for adults only, oozes sophistication.”
“Enjoy in the evening with a favourite gin and tonic or, for something new, why not enjoy afternoon tea with a twist?!”
Asda’s adorable pink gin cake is available in store now, and will set you back £12.
Pink gin has been a big hit recently. At the end of 2019 (ah, 2019. That was a nice year, wasn’t it?), Aldi announced that it was launching Greyson’s pink gin.
It’s described as “having fresh raspberry and strawberry flavours, followed by juniper and subtle blackberry notes.”
Aldi added: “Pink gin is not only chosen for its typically fruity flavour, this coloured variety is perfect for the ‘gram, carrying savvy snappers straight through to GIN-uary and beyond!”
You can pick up a bottle of Aldi’s pink gin in store now for just £12.99.
