  1. Ultimate Collagen+, £54.99 for 90 capsules, Ingenious Beauty at Victoria Health: I have been taking these for four months now and I can see the difference in my nails. My skin also feels like it has got its spring back.

  2. Miracle Touch Creamy Blusher in Soft Copper, £7.99, Max Factor at Boots: This is the cream blusher I recommend time and time again. It’s great value, creamy in texture, and it adds a soft warmth to the skin.

  3. Autocorrect Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream, £60, Sunday Riley at SpaceNK: Once tried, you’ll be hooked. The formula is cooling on application, so it’s great for tired eyes that need a refreshing boost.

  4. Caution Extreme Lash Mascara, £29, Hourglass at Cult Beauty: I love quick, fat lashes, and this mascara delivers in a couple of swipes and doesn’t budge. Plus, the wand is finer on the tip to catch the inner-corner lashes.

  5. Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser SPF30, £31, Nars at John Lewis: I try out many tinted formulas but eventually I always go back to this one. The shade selection is great, as is the coverage.

  6. Detox Face Mask, £36, Malin + Goetz: If you want a mask that does it all and quickly, then this is for you. It’s perfect for dry, sensitive skin that can’t tolerate harsh ingredients, but it’s still very effective.

Caroline's top tip

The one product you should add into your make-up bag is a hyaluronic acid. If you find that concealer dries the skin under your eyes and makes your skin appear crepey, and eye cream or oil makes the make-up crease, then try a light touch of hyaluronic. Apply just before concealer, and if your skin becomes dehydrated during the day, then gently tap some over the area. It doesn’t feel particularity amazing on application, but you will be chuffed at how effectively it compliments your make-up.

The same applies for lips. Hyaluronic acid is a great lip hydrator that doesn’t leave your lips too slippery, which is perfect just before lipstick application. Try CeraVe's Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum.
