Chloë Sevigny is the ultimate it-bride in three different wedding looks
No one does New York City cool quite like Chloë Sevigny. Last weekend, the actress, filmmaker, and longtime it-girl married her art gallery director husband, Siniša Mačković, again — two years after the couple initially got hitched in a private courthouse wedding and welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Vanja. For the star-studded fete, Sevigny distilled her signature style into three statement bridal looks.
First, Sevigny walked down the aisle in a sheer ruffled dress from Glenn Martens's Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture spring/summer 2022 collection. She wore her hair slicked back in a low bun and carried a thin bouquet of calla lilies tied with a pink ribbon.
For the reception, she changed into a Loewe by Jonathan Anderson creation. The short white dress featured a square neckline, billowing sleeves, and a lacy asymmetrical train attached to one sleeve.
As the party raged on, the Russian Doll star made one last outfit change, opting for a lacy bridal confection by Mugler's Casey Cadwallader. The ivory catsuit included a sheer bustier, matching skintight trousers that flared out into bell-bottoms, and a cropped lace turtleneck cover-up that doubled as gloves. Sevigny accessorised the look with a tiny white handbag adorned with a gold bow and heels with sparkling silver buckles.
Derek Blasberg, a close friend of Sevigny's who is also the head of fashion and beauty partnerships at YouTube, described the romantic celebration on Instagram.
"Of course, Chloe Sevigny is the coolest girl in New York. But did you know she's a top secret traditionalist too? She loves toiles, houndstooth, personalised stationery on heavy cardstock, worn-in cardigan sets, and etiquette lessons as much as the next New Englander," he captioned a set of pictures from the ceremony.
"That's why yesterday we were off to a charming, tiny white clapboard church house in leafy Connecticut on a crisp spring afternoon to celebrate her wedding to Siniša Mačković, a director at Karma gallery... This was the official celebration, complete with multiple bridal looks, ice sculptures, and a perfect, simple ceremony that mentioned her loyalty, his twinkly eyes, and both of their dance moves."
