Christina Aguilera and Paris Hilton just wore matching ponytails to dinner and it's the 00s again
It’s the early 00s: the O2 Arena is still known as the Millennium Dome, Nsync is the biggest boyband around and you spend your Friday nights practicing dance moves to Christina Aguilera’s Dirrty. Wholesome times, right?
The 00s were an epic decade and so, whenever an icon from that time drops a new pic, I’m transported to a time where I was in. aconstant cloud of The Body Shop’s White Musk. And I was taken right back to that time when Christina dropped a new Instagram pic.
The singer posted photos of her enjoying a meal and raising a glass – but she wasn’t alone. Nope, Xtina has the epic company of socialite Paris Hilton.
Even better, the duo are sporting similar ponytails, both wearing them sky-high and on the crown of their head. Except, there were subtle difference to each hairstyle that sum them up. For Christina, it was a slicked-back pony that lay super sleek and straight for a 00s red carpet look. For Paris, a middle-parting pony that had volume at the base and flipped out at the ends for a retro finish.
Both look equally incredible and both equally iconic. Xtina even shared a video of the two shouting “SLIVING” (Paris’ word for slaying and living) and honestly, I’m, well, sliving for it.
