Ruxandra Porojnicu has claimed she had some parcels "stolen" from her block of flats.

The 28-year-old star - who plays Alina Pop in 'Coronation Street' - took to her Instagram Stories to tell her fans about her ordeal after she returned home to find some clothing packages missing.

She wrote: "When you live in a block of flats where people are stealing parcels... why?! (sic)"

Ruxandra then quipped: "I hope those clothes are tight as f*** for whoever got them xx. (sic)"

The actress later joked she would be henceforth changing her name on her delivery address to Conor McGregor, an apparent reference to the mixed martial arts star in an attempt to ward off future parcels going missing.

She told fans: "Also, I'll change my name on the delivery to Conor McGregor (sic)"

Ruxandra arrived on the cobbles in 2019 as nail technician Alina, who came to the UK as a result of human trafficking.

The character had brief flings with David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) before beginning an explosive affair with mechanic Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), which culminated in the breakdown of his relationship with Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine).

Ruxandra later admitted she expected a "much worse" reaction from the British public after her 'Corrie' character's affair was revealed.

She said: "There's only been a few strong reactions in public about the affair.

"But not as many as I expected. Fiz and Tyrone are such an iconic couple and no one wants to see them apart - so I thought it'd be much worse!"
