The Craft reboot is being released just in time for Halloween

From Cosmopolitan

Dust off out your ouji boards and dig out your best rosary beads because "WE BIND YOU NANCY" The Craft reboot ~The Craft: Legacy~ is set to land on Amazon Prime just in time for Halloween. While we're coming over all nostalgic, we're also a touch apprehensive too, as we're protective over this teen classic.

The original 1996 film followed Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Rachel True as four of the coolest misfit students we've ever seen at a stuffy Catholic high school. After they begin meddling with the world of witchcraft, things spiral out of control as they concoct spells and curses against people that they really can't stand, and let's face it, we've all been there.

After years of speculation that the teen horror was going to be remade, Blumhouse first confirmed the movie in May 2019 and announced that actress and writer Zoe Lister-Jones would be writing and directing the new version of the movie - which is not a sequel. Zoe made her debut in 2017 with the indie film Band Aid and wrote Greta Gerwig's rom-com Lola Versus.

Like the original, the film follows a group of high school students who form a coven of witches, who are played by actors Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone and Zoey Luna. Messiah star Michelle Monaghan and David Duchovny are also listed on the credits.

The remake was originally due to be released in cinemas but it will now be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from October 27.
