The Crown season five might be a year away, but fans are already very excited about the next instalment of the Netflix show. Especially now that that the actor who'll play Prince William has been announced, almost completing the cast's line up.

As we already know, The Crown recasts its characters every two seasons in a bid to maintain similarities between the age of the actors and the age of the Royals during the specific time period.

So far, season five's cast includes Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth and Jonathan Pryce as Prince Phillip. Lesley Manville will take on the role of Princess Margaret, while Elizabeth Debicki will play Princess Diana and Dominic West as Prince Charles. Olivia Williams will take over as Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

But who'll take on the roles of Prince William and Prince Harry? Season five will look at the lives of the Royal Family in the 90s and into the 00s, meaning Charles and Diana's sons will be roughly between 10 - 20, as William was born in 1982.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, William will be played by Senan West - the real life son of Dominic West, who is playing Charles. It will be his first on-screen role.

Variety added that 13-year-old "Senan has been cast as a slightly older Prince William, portraying him as he begins to mature into a young man. He will make his on-screen debut in the final episodes of the season. It’s believed the young actor’s audition, submitted via tape by his agent, caught the attention of the show’s producers."

At least they won't have to work on their father/son chemistry, eh?
