Will Ferrell is starring in a new Christmas movie with Ryan Reynolds
Will Ferrell is starring in a brand new Christmas film alongside Ryan Reynolds, called Spirited.
The film is a festive musical remake of the classic Christmas story by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol.
Spirited will take a humorous twist on the beloved tale, where Scrooge is visited by four ghosts on Christmas Eve, and there are vibrant musical numbers.
Elf star Will Ferrell and Hollywood's Ryan Reynolds have teamed up for the Apple TV+ movie which will also be released in cinemas.
Now, Apple TV+ has now released a new teaser posters for the movie, which confirms the release date as November 11 in cinemas and November 18 on the streaming platform.
Ferrell and Reynolds can be seen in a black and white image, with the latter lovingly hugging the former, who is looking on in horror.
There is also the silhouette of a camera to the left of the poster, while another still of Ferrell sees him beam at the camera as someone fixes his hair. There is also a poster of Octavia Spencer, sporting some festive, sparkly, antler horns, although her role has not been confirmed yet.
Reynolds will take on the role of Ebeneezer Scrooge, while Ferrell will play the role of a ghost named Present.
Rounding out the cast are Patrick Page, Sunita Mani, Loren Woods, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley, Jen Tullock. Sean Anders will take on the role of the director, writer and producer, with John Morris as a co-writer and producer. Reynolds and Ferrell are also producers on the project too.
Apple TV+ recently released first look images, featuring the two lead actors in the period costumes. One still from the movie shows Ferrell and Reynolds in bed – looking like they’ve just realised that they have woken up next to each other, as both actors are mid scream.
Spirited releases in cinemas on 11 November 2022 and on Apple TV+ on 18 November 2022.
