Harry Potter star Jessie Cave has welcomed her fourth child, weeks after being hospitalised with Covid.

The 34-year-old actress and her partner, comedian Alfie Brown made a joint statement to confirm the arrival of their newborn son, who they have named Becker Brown.

Sharing a photo of Jessie breastfeeding baby Becker, the couple added the caption: "Welcome Becker Brown. Thank you to UCLH. Thank you to the midwives Amy and Emi-Lou. Thank you to Alisson Becker."

They also included a photo of Brazilian football player Alisson Becker on social media, and when asked if they had named their son after the sports star, Alfie replied: "I first went for Divock [Origi]. Got vetoed. Jessie and I both love Becker."

Jessie, who is best known for playing Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter franchise, was recently hospital after testing positive for Covid during her third trimester.

Two weeks ago, she had posted a photo of herself lying on a hospital bed and added the caption: "Triage, once again…… Anyone else had covid in 3rd trimester & had it hit them like a tonne of bricks for weeks?"

Jessie and Alfie, who have been together for seven years, already share seven-year-old Donnie, Margot, who is four, and Abraham, 14 months.

She announced her pregnancy in December last year by posting a picture of her baby bump in the mirror, alongside the caption: "Can't hide this new baby anymore".

In the picture, Jessie can be seen posing sideways to reveal the growing baby bump, as sister Bebe Cave, captures the moment in the bathroom.

Congrats Jessie and Alife!
