As lockdown 2 comes into force, it's understandable that many of us are relying on Netflix's cheesier offerings to get us through the colder months. One such offering is Netflix's Holidate, a predictable yet heartening tale of two single strangers who team up to be each other's plus ones for the holidays and in the process dodge any unwanted family questioning as to when they'll settle down.

It's literally no surprise that a film starring Emma Roberts, who plays Sloane, and Luke Bracey as Jackson, has managed to get such a positive reaction despite it playing into almost every rom-com cliche. I mean, Emma Roberts could play the role of Santa and still deliver a show-stopping performance (mega fan, obvs).

However, some fans are convinced there's another celebrity appearance that's slipped under the radar because it looks suspiciously like Ryan Gosling may have made a cheeky cameo in the background of one of Holidate's key scenes.

In said scene, Jackson accuses Sloane of being scared to take a chance on love, telling her: "I bet you money that if Ryan Gosling waltzed down this frozen food aisle and offered to take you on the ride of your life, you would still say no - because you'd be too afraid to get on that train: the Ryan Gosling train."

A justifiably angry Sloane then replies "You are so wrong. Ryan Gosling would never do his own shopping; he's way too cool for that."

It's at this moment that Ryan Gosling, or at least a Ryan Gosling lookalike, is spotted perusing some frozen goods in the background. Needless to say, the sheer meta-ness of the whole scene has Twitter in bits...

Thankfully, actor and stuntman Chad Zigmund, who played Luke Bracey's stand in, has solved the mystery for us. He posted a photo of himself on Instagram with the caption" “I am Chad ‘Frozen Food Ryan Gosling’ Zigmund.”

You have to admit though, he and Gosling definitely share a likeness.
