Holly Willoughby indicated she was having a rather fun day out with friends while miming for a tongue-in-cheek video.

In the clip, the TV presenter, 41, mouthed the words "I'm gonna be hungover" – indicating that she'd had a drink or two – during a car journey with All Saints' Nicole Appleton and another rider.

While it appeared the trio were singing, the vocals were actually from the band Haim, who famously came up with the silly lyrics while travelling all glammed-up to the Oscars last month.

The This Morning co-host shared her and her pals' lip-syncing attempt to Instagram with a string of smiley face emojis.

The video, which has received more than 779,000 views, was popular with social media users – and a number of Willoughby's famous friends left comments.

These included Vanessa Feltz, who wrote: "OMG ladies please invite me next time."

Spice Girl member Emma Bunton shared: "I can’t stop watching this!"

And Tamzin Outhwaite added: "Love this."

It comes after Willougby recently spoke to Gwyneth Paltrow for her By The Light Of The Moon podcast.

The Hollywood actress opened up about her "crazy" younger years and the "intense" level of attention she received early on in her career.

When asked by the TV star what she remembers fondly from that time, Paltrow replied: "I miss the cigarettes."

However, of her current healthier way of life, she added: "I actually really prefer this incarnation of myself more."
