January Jones has dressed up for the annual Golden Globes in a gown she first wore to the awards ceremony 10 years ago.

On Sunday, for a ceremony that is largely virtual, the Mad Men star posted a photo of herself in a red cutout Versace gown to Instagram.

Jones first wore the fringe dress to the 68th Golden Globes in 2011, a fact she addressed in the caption of the photo, where she wrote: “10 years later and it still (sorta) fits.”

Along with the new photo, Jones also shared a photo from her first red carpet appearance in the dress.

On her Instagram Stories, Jones shared additional photos of the gown, which she referred to as her “dream dress”.

“Squeezed into this beauty today. 10 years ago Versace made my dream dress,” she captioned a photo.

In addition to praise from fans, the outfit throwback also prompted a response from Kiernan Shipka, who played Jones’ daughter on Mad Men.

Taking inspiration from Jones, the 21-year-old posted a photo of herself and Jones on the red carpet at the 2011 awards, where she can be seen wearing a Papo d’Anjo velvet mini dress.

Shipka then shared a photo of herself wearing the same dress with the caption: “Hey [January Jones] I heard we’re putting on our Golden Globes looks from 10 years ago.”

On social media, fans praised the sweet interaction, with HuffPost editor Jenna Amatulli referring to the throwback as her “favourite Golden Globes content so far”.

“Incredible,” another person wrote, while someone else commented: “This is the cutest thing ever.”
