Josie Gibson lands huge new job and admits 'it feels incredibly surreal'
This Morning host Josie Gibson is set to take on a quite unique role away from the comfy ITV studios, branding it as a "surreal moment".
The 39 year old TV star, who made her name after winning Big Brother in 2010, has not only been making people chuckle with her presenting skills on This Morning but also survived the challenges of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
Now, she's ready to serve the nation up some serious deals as the new face of supermarket Iceland. The doting mum will be introducing us all to the supermarket's new tagline: "that's why we go to Iceland," changing from the traditional "that's why mums go to Iceland".
Opening up about the collaboration, Josie said: "I remember shopping in Iceland when I was a little girl, so it feels incredibly surreal to be working with them as the face of the brand. I'm all for their commitment to do best for the shoppers and giving them the best value products and deals.
"It was loads of fun shooting for the ad, and to meet the Iceland team and now I absolutely cannot wait for everyone to see it!"
Before she became the face of their latest campaign, reports the Mirror, Josie was spotted getting hands-on experience at an Iceland store, hopping behind the checkout and even restocking the freezers. She was kitted out with her very own Iceland jacket and name badge for the full effect.
In the new advert, we see Josie picking up some of Iceland's products, and she's set to be a regular feature in their promotions for the next year, including the much-anticipated summer and Christmas ads.
Just this week, there's been a buzz about Josie's love life after she was seen hand in hand with TV's Stephen Mulhern outside the BBC Studios.
They looked quite comfortable together, and when Mail Online probed about their relationship status, Josie confessed: "I'm in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But story of my life, I don't think he loves me."
Currently, Josie is believed to be single since parting ways with Terry, her ex and father to her son Reggie-James. The pair began their romance in 2017 and welcomed their child in 2018. Josie's romantic history also includes a stint with her Big Brother housemate John James Parton, whom she dated for nearly a year after the show ended.
Stephen, meanwhile, has been more coy about his love life, although he did date EastEnders star Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell) back in 2008. The couple grew close during a panto production of Snow White in Birmingham, but ultimately ended things in 2011.
