While most holiday revellers made due with markedly smaller Thanksgiving this pandemic year, the Kardashian family added to their long list of Covid gaffes by social-media documenting a giant family gathering, complete with potluck plates and little regard for social distancing.

According to official CDC guidelines, families were advised this year to limit in-person Thanksgiving gatherings as much as possible. And if families should opt to be together in-person, they should remain "at least six feet apart at all times", avoid direct contact ... with others not from their household", avoid potluck-style gatherings, and wear masks at all times.

According to the reality stars' social accounts, though, that didn't exactly happen. Kris Jenner was seen posing in front of a long, set-for-Thanksgiving table at her Palm Springs home, which clearly was about to host a number of attendees.

Meanwhiles, posts from Khloe, Kris, Kendall, Kylie, and Kourtney showed the family's young children attendance.

This is hardly the first time the Kardashians have appeared to flout Covid safety measures. Earlier in the year, the family came under fire for Kendall Jenner's 25th birthday party, which hosted more than 100 attendees. For Kim's recent birthday, the star hired a private jet and flew more than 40 people to a private island.

In response to the criticism, the Kardashians claimed they have held each gathering "safely" with rapid response Covid testing prior to each celebration. A recent study by Quidel, however, found that rapid tests "detected only about 32 per cent of positive cases."

When a fan wondered out loud on Twitter whether the Kardashians would go ahead with their annual Christmas bash, Khloe responded on 9 November, "I think it will have to be way smaller obviously. And I’m totally fine with that! But we’re definitely celebrating Christmas! It will just have to be small and safe. Maybe do rapid testing before. We have to think of what is safest."
