So, what's her secret? How does the duchess manage to walk around in heels, day-in, day-out, and for hours on end?

Well, it turns out that Kate has a couple of tricks up her sleeve which help her get through royal engagements with ease — and it means no sore feet at the end of a long day.

According to royal etiquette expert Myka Meier, the mum-of-three has been known to use a handful 'stylist tricks' to stay comfortable while remaining 'appropriately dressed at all times'.

Speaking to Insider, Myka, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, revealed that the duchess chooses a very specific pair of tights, and they're just £6 from John Lewis.

The sheer stockings feature gel strips on the soles of the feet which help your toes grip onto the soles of your shoes better. That means you can walk more easily without your feet slipping down in your heels.

The tights are also ladder-resistant, include a hygienic cotton gusset and an open-toe feature making them perfect for ocassions where open-toed shoes are a must.

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter told Insider, 'you never see a royal without their nude stockings'.

And added: 'I would say that's really the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of what the Queen requires.'
