Kim Kardashian fans are laughing at her struggling up the Met Gala steps

Watch: Pete Davidson helps Kim Kardashian struggle up Met steps in Marilyn Monroe gown

Thanks to last night's Met Gala [2 May] we've got enough celebrity content to last us until Christmas. From Ashley Tisdale's response to her invite snub to Kylie Jenner's controversial baseball cap. Now fans can't stop laughing at Kim Kardashian attempting to climb the Metropolitan Museum of Art steps.

The 41-year-old SKIMS founder attended the Gala with her new beau Pete Davidson, wearing the exact same dress that Marilyn Monroe wore to sing "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy for his 45th birthday in 1962.

Sharing a glimpse at her outfit on Instagram, Kim wrote, "I am so honoured to be wearing the iconic dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 to sing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy. t is a stunning skintight gown adorned with more than 6,000 hand-sewn crystals by costumier Jean Louis."

While there's no doubt Kim looked phenomenal in the iconic dress, there is one thing fans can't stop laughing at from the red carpet: the fact the dress was so tight, Kim struggled to walk up the stairs.

As one onlooker put it, "I love @KimKardashian’s Marilyn look so very much. But you’d think she’d have made sure she could walk up stairs at an event that requires her to… walk up a whole bunch of stairs. With cameras are going off at every second. #MetGala"

Another said, "Pete Davidson painstakingly helping Kim Kardashian up the stairs one step at a time is the #MetGala moment I didn't know I needed."
