Back in 2019, Idris Elba revealed that he was the DJ at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding reception the previous year.

Fast forward to now and Elba has dished further details about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's special day.

While co-hosting BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Rap Show with Tiffany Calver, the Luther Star revealed that Markle had one song request from Elba - Dr Dre's 'Still Dre'.

Asked what songs guests were dancing to, Elba replied: "Still DRE by Dr Dre went off! It was Meghan’s choice."

Since Markle and Prince Harry's nuptials, they have stepped down from royal life and live in Montecito, California with their two children, two-year-old son Archie and nine-month-old daughter Lilibet.

Meghan Markle: Duchess, actress, philanthropist, mother, dog-lover, style icon... music curator?

According to Idris Elba, who revealed over the past few months that he was the DJ at the Royal Wedding reception in 2018, the Duchess of Sussex sent him some tracks she wanted included in the actor's DJ set.

Elba told Radio 1 Xtra he "respectfully" hasn't said too much about his role at the ceremony - apart from putting the line "Man a big DJ, ask Meghan and Harry" in his latest track "Boasty" with Wiley, Stefflon Don and Sean Paul.

Asked by presenter Ace, to name one track in the set list he obliged... and it's a goodun.

"'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' by Whitney Houston and it went off," Elba said.

"A lot of tunes went off, you know Meghan sent me a playlist with some bare tunes with it. I don't want to go into the tunes but there was some West Coast on it, that's all I'm saying."

Elba refused to confirm whether royalty was getting down to Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg or Tupac at Frogmore House, but then joked for DJ Ace to "seriously" ask Meghan and Harry if he wanted more information.

Back in March, Elba confirmed he got the gig every DJ must have wanted on the Ellen DeGeneres show, saying he truly believed Harry to be joking when he first asked him.

"Harry and I have hung out a couple of times [through the Prince's Trust, which Prince Charles runs], Harry came to a couple of parties that I DJ'd and was like 'Hey man, what are you doing on the day... would you DJ at my wedding?'" he explained. "I was like, 'Is this a joke?'"

The Royal Wedding reception was understandably kept private, so we'll never quite know what was played beyond Whitney and West Coast, but we did catch a glimpse of Elba and wife Sabrina entering St George's Chapel on the big day itself.

Here's to hoping Meghan and Kate were singing 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' at the top of their lungs while Serena Williams joined Meghan in paying homage to their home country with Tupac and Dr Dre's 'California Love'.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall at that wedding reception.
