The National Television Awards has revealed its shortlist for 2022 – and there are plenty of nominees, from Heartstopper to Peaky Blinders, across multiple categories. So let's get right into it.

As well as a nomination in the New Drama category, Netflix's acclaimed Heartstopper also sees its stars Joe Locke and Kit Connor, who play new couple Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson, nominated for the Rising Star award.

Peaky Blinders faces Bridgerton, Call the Midwife and The Split in the Returning Drama category, while Cillian Murphy is nominated for Drama Performance alongside Bridgerton's Jonathan Bailey, The Split's Nicola Walker and Vicky McClure, for Trigger Point.

Elsewhere, Neighbours secures a nomination in the Serial Drama category for soaps just a few weeks after the show came to an end. The late Tom Parker is also nominated in the Authored Documentary category for Inside My Head, in which he and his loved ones reflected on his brain tumour diagnosis.

Remember, you can now vote for your favourites in every category at the official NTAs website. You've got until noon on Thursday, September 15, the day the ceremony takes place, to vote.

As you can see, most of the nominations are from the terrestrial channels (well, the BBC, ITV and Channel 4), with Netflix as the only streaming service with any nominations.

The winners will be announced in just a few weeks' time, with The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett presenting the awards show for the second time at Wembley's OVO Arena in north London.

The National Television Awards 2022 will be shown live on ITV at 8pm on September 15.
