Netflix fans all have the same question about Echoes

If you looked up 'crime drama' in the dictionary, the Netflix logo would probably appear. From Stay Close to The Holiday and One Of Us Is Lying, it's safe to say the streaming platform has a lot of thrillers on its books - with the latest one joining the roster called Echoes.

As the official synopsis explains, "Identical twin sisters Leni and Gina decide to swap their lives. However, there are dire consequences when one of the twins goes missing, causing both of their lives to rapidly fall apart."

Essentially, the story follows two twin sisters who often swap lives for the fun of it, because their families can't tell the difference. Both twins - Leni and Gina - are played by the same actress, Michelle Monaghan, and fans have slightly taken issue with the fact they literally cannot tell the twins apart.

Like, we get that that's kind of the point, but at least give us some kind of signifier to help! As one person put it, "The twins switch places a hundred times in Echoes and I’m supposed to keep up, how?"

Another said, "I think only identical twins or other identical multiples would be able to completely follow this show, who's who, and all the switching without a problem... While the rest of us viewers are confused."

A third added, "Five episodes into Echoes and i still can’t tell Gina and Leni apart."

The series also stars Daniel Sunjata and Matt Bomer. Guess that's our bank holiday weekend viewing sorted!

Echoes is now streaming on Netflix.
