Netflix viewers have had a savage response to The Holiday
When it comes to crime dramas, we're always looking for the next one to binge. From The Lincoln Lawyer to You Don't Know Me, we've basically seen everything Netflix has to offer - including The Holiday, which dropped on the streaming service last month. But fans have all been taking to social media to share their pretty savage response to the show.
Originally airing on Channel 5 in March, The Holiday tells the story of a group of friends from university, who head on a Mediterranean holiday with their families. So far, so normal. But things take a turn when a woman discovers her husband is having an affair with someone she knows, eventually turning deadly.
The show stars Jill Halfpenny, Owen McDonnell, Aidan McArdle, Lara McDonnell and is based on the book of the same name by T.M. Logan. While some fans have been loving the four-part drama, others have been a little more critical of the show on Twitter.
As one viewer put it, "Under no circumstances watch The Holiday on Netflix……it’s pish." Another said, "Not a single soul on The Holiday crime series on Netflix can act. At all. Really quite incredible stuff"
A third added, "If you were planning on watching The Holiday on Netflix… don’t."

Others were more impressed by the show, though, with one person tweeting, "Guys watched an amazing series on Netflix overnight , called The Holiday. Highly highly recommended. It’s not what you expect, but got so many twists and turns.Brilliant ending though."
