Netflix has given us our first look at a young Lady Danbury in upcoming series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

Played by Adjoa Andoh in the main series, young Lady Danbury will be portrayed by Arsema Thomas, with the streaming service showing us Thomas dressed in her finest.

Set to air later this year, Queen Charlotte will see Line of Duty's India Amarteifio play the young Queen as she navigates society and her marriage to King George (Corey Mylchreest). Fans will also get a glimpse at several other familiar Bridgerton characters in their younger years, with Connie Jenkins-Greig taking on the role of a young Lady Violet Bridgerton.

Lady Danbury's story in the series will follow Agatha as she counsels the young Queen in the early days of her marriage to the King, as well as navigating her own match to the older Lord Danbury (Cyril Nri).

Andoh, Golda Rosheuvel and Ruth Gemmell will also be reprising their roles as the older Lady Danbury, Queen Charlotte and Lady Violet respectively, although they are most likely to appear through the form of voiceovers and flashbacks.

Netflix boss Peter Friedlander recently described the upcoming series as "stunning".

Speaking to Variety, Friedlander said: "When you meet Queen Charlotte inside the Bridgerton universe, you can’t help but want to know more about that character and her background. So it felt like a natural exploration to go into her background.

"It truly is stunning and so I am glad that you are excited about it. It’s a justified enthusiasm because it is going to live up to your expectations."

Bridgerton seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 3 is in production. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is due to premiere in 2023.
