The sixth series of Married At First Sight UK drops this summer, and has already promised to be as drama-filled as the Australian version. So much so, that one of the Australian experts is even joining the experiment.

If you didn't already know, we've been obsessed with the sixth series of the Australian show. We've stalked the contestants on social media, we've looked into the conspiracy theories, and we've binge-watched close to 40 hours(!) of the show on E4.

And while the show comes to an end this week, the good news is the new version of the UK show will introduce dinner parties and commitment ceremonies, just like the Australian show.

And now, E4 have announced Married at First Sight Australia expert Melanie Schilling will also be joining the series for the brand-new series. She'll join Paul C. Brunson, who was introduced to the UK show last series, to make up the expert matching panel.

Speaking of her new role on the show, Mel said:

"I am so excited to join the super-sized UK version of our much-loved Married At First Sight. Being a part of the Australian experiment for 7 seasons has taught me so much about love, marriage, relationships (and conflict) and I can't wait to share my advice and insight with you all. I have been overwhelmed by the UK response to the Australian version on E4 and have been humbled by all the beautiful messages of support from the UK fans of the show.

"In this time of the global pandemic, now more than ever, we need to focus on connection and engaging with stories that warm our hearts and bring us closer together. I look forward to embracing all that is great about the love and warmth of the people of the UK."

The show hasn't yet started filming, and is still looking for contestants to enter the experiment. Channel 4 have said it'll air on E4 later this summer. Eek!
