One of the suspects accused of the 2016 Paris robbery of Kim Kardashian has written a tell-all book called I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian. In the book, Yunis Abbas reveals bizarre details about the night, including the fact he escaped on a bicycle and singer Tracey Chapman tried to call Kardashian in the midst of the heist.

It's been almost five years since five gunmen entered Kim Kardashian's room at Paris' Hotel de Pourtalès, gagged and restrained her and held her at gunpoint as she begged for her life and they stole more than £7m of jewellery, including her £3.5m engagement ring from husband Kanye West. The five men were disguised as police officers and were let into the building by the concierge, who they subsequently handcuffed and held at gunpoint until he led them to the KUWTK star's room.

At least 17 people were arrested in connection with the robbery, with 12 now waiting to stand trial which will not likely take place until 2022 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. One of the 12 suspects, 67-year-old French Algerian Yunis Abbas, has this week released a book all about the infamous night titled, J’ai Séquestré Kim Kardashian (I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian).

In the extracts of the book which have been released Abbas reveals bizarre details about the night of the robbery. He claims that singer Tracey Chapman tried to call Kim Kardashian moments after the robbery took place, and also claimed that he had to leave behind a £26,000 necklace because he couldn't carry everything on his getaway vehicle, a bicycle.

Abbas reportedly plans to plead guilty to all charges although he maintains that he never left the ground floor of the hotel and did not enter Kardashian's room. He also claims that he never spoke to his co-accused again.

Abbas says he wrote the book because he has been portrayed as "a very uninviting character," although he also states in the book that the Paris robbery was the kind of heist "every mobster dreams of."
