Patrick Dempsey gave himself a buzzcut – and his fans have some thoughts
Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey had a lockdown-esq DIY hair moment, shaving off all of his hair into a buzzcut. The moment was captured by his wife of 23 years, makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, and shared to her Instagram page. And no, this isn't a throwback to 2020 when, left barber-less and desperate, we resorted to haircuts over the kitchen sink.
Posting the clip to her page, Jillian revealed it was to mark the end of a recent movie. In the caption, she wrote: "Change is good! Have you ever buzzed your hair? Watch @patrickdempsey use clippers to eliminate the dyed hair from a character role and start fresh!"
While DIY is always a bold move, Jillian assured fans and followers they had guidance to hand, adding; "P.S. My Roadie was standing by to help give it some edge for styling."

And honestly I'm astounded anyone wouldn't be into this chop.
The bleached white hair Patrick had been rocking was for his role as Italian race car driver Piero Taruffi in the upcoming film Ferrari, starring Penelope Cruz and Adam Driver (an offensively attractive cast, even for Hollywood). It was certainly a different look for McDreamy – just look at all that hair:
While Jillian only just shared the video, it seems it was actually filmed a few weeks ago. That's if Patrick's impressive crop of brown hair back for the Disenchanted premiere three weeks ago is anything to go by:
