Celebrity home tours are our bread and butter right now. From Kris Jenner's plate room to the inexplicable furore over Ashley Tisdale's bookshelves, looking inside famous peoples' houses and trawling through the Twitter reactions are the exact kind of interiors x gossip mash up the internet was designed for. Good news, then, that Travis Barker recently released a home tour video, and fans are truly shocked by what they've seen.

The video, which landed on Architectural Digest earlier today (19 May) sees the drummer tour the brand around his Calabasas home where he lives with his kids Landon and Alabama Barker and Atiana De La Hoya and his new wife (we're there by now, right?) Kourtney Kardashian.

The house, which Barker has lived in for 15 years but had completely renovated three years go, is designed to bring a sense of "zen" and "simplicity" to his busy life. And it's this calmness that has flummoxed people.

I mean, we get it: when you imagine the kind of home Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker might live in, you probably don't imagine the super-soothing, muted tones that we've got here. So, it's safe to say fans were surprised, and they didn't hold back in the comments.

"This is surprisingly tasteful…not at all what I pictured his house looking like but I actually like this," one person commented on AD's Instagram post. "He may look chaotic but his home looks so tranquil and relaxing," another said, and a third wrote, "his house is actually very warm and stylish. not what i would expect from a rocker."

While lots of people were pleasantly surprised by Travis's zen mansion, others criticised it for being too similar to the Kardashians' properties. However, as Travis point out in the interview, the house was renovated three years ago, long before Kravis came into existence.

Plus, if you take a look at Travis's episode of MTV Cribs from 2008 (which, we have very much done) the musician seems to have always veered towards a more muted interior look. Although admittedly, there are fewer fish tanks now...
