Welp, to all you royal fans who were hoping news of baby Lilibet Diana might help guide the royal family back together following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's tell-all interview with Oprah...that hasn't quite happened. At least not yet. Case in point: When Lilibet was born, sources claim Prince Harry actually texted Kate Middleton to deliver the news to Prince William instead of giving him the message directly.

According to The Mail on Sunday, the Duchess of Cambridge has always been responsible for keeping things between Prince Harry and Prince William civil, but this has become more apparent with Lilibet's arrival.

A palace source told the outlet that texting Kate instead of the Duke of Cambridge about the Duchess of Sussex giving birth was the Duke of Sussex's unique way of 'cementing her role as a bridge between him and his brother'.

For what it's worth though, Middleton and Prince William did jointly deliver a public message to the Sussexes after Lilibet's arrival on their official Instagram: 'We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili,' the Cambridges captioned their post, which featured their in-laws' pregnancy announcement photo. 'Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.'

And! Kate and Will were kind enough to send Harry and Meghan a congratulatory gift for Lilibet's arrival. An Us Weekly source confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were 'informed about the birth and have sent Lilibet a gift'. Who knows what type of gift it was, but it was a gift nonetheless!

Fingers crossed for royal reconciliation sometime soon now that Lilibet is here!
