The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have celebrated Father's Day by sharing a previously unseen photo of William with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The royal couple posted a short clip on their official Instagram account which wished the public a Happy Father's Day and featured a picture of the duke in full military uniform while holding Louis and being hugged by George and Charlotte.

The photo, believed to have been captured by keen photographer Kate, was taken outside Kensington Palace at Trooping the Colour in 2019.

The clip also included a photo of Kate walking down the aisle with her dad Mike at her 2011 wedding to Prince William, a picture of Prince Charles with William and Harry as young boys in Scotland, and the Queen and Prince Philip surrounded by their grandchildren.

The photo of the late Prince was taken at Balmoral by Kate in 2018, and features George, Charlotte, a then-newborn Louis, Zara Tindall's girls, Lena and Mia Tindall, and Peter Phillips' daughters, Savannah and Isla Phillips,

"Wishing fathers everywhere a happy Father’s Day," William and Kate captioned the clip.

Meanwhile, the Royal Family has also marked Father's Day by sharing a black and white photo of the Queen with her father King George VI, her late husband Prince Philip, and son Prince Charles. The photo, dating back to 1951, was taken during their summer holiday in Balmoral.

The caption on Instagram read: "To all dads everywhere, we wish you a very special Father’s Day. To mark #FathersDay we are sharing this photograph of The Queen with her father, King George VI, and Prince Philip watching a young Prince Charles sitting on a statue at Balmoral in 1951."
