By now we're all pretty familiar with Prince William's dad jokes (fair play really, given that he is a father of three – his eldest, Prince George, turned seven just last week), but have you ever been lucky enough to witness him doing some major dad dancing? No? Excellent, you're in for a treat.

Some iconic footage of the royal dancing up a storm back in 2007 to a Nelly Furtado performance (during a Princess Diana memorial concert) has resurfaced on Twitter and to be honest we couldn't be happier about it. The show featured a whole host of artists favoured by William and Harry, according to a Telegraph news report published at the time, including Lily Allen, P Diddy, Pharrell Williams, The Feeling, Joss Stone, Kanye West and Natasha Bedingfield. Essentially anybody who was on your iPod in in the mid to late 00s was there.

Princess Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie can also be seen having a boogie in the clip too – but it's really William's moves that take centre stage. It's actually pretty incredible the way he's making his head move independently from his body like that? We're also getting serious 'Hugh Grant as the Prime Minister' vibes from this little shuffle situation.

Anyway! It's time to see the spectacular dancing for yourself:

Pretty special, no?

Reports following the concert also said that a nervous William and his brother Prince Harry took to the stage to open the show, which took place in Wembley Arena, by making a speech – and having a dig at Ricky Gervais in the process.

"This event is about all that our mother loved in life," William started. "Her music, her dancing, her charities and her family and friends." With Harry later adding, "When William and I first had the idea we forgot we would end up standing here desperately trying to think of something funny to say. We'll leave that to the funny people - and Ricky Gervais." The show also had some of Diana's favourite musical artists perform, including Duran Duran, Rod Stewart and Elton John. N'aww. If only we'd been able to bag a ticket!

As for Kate Middleton, she was said to have attended with her sister, Pippa, and parents, Michael and Carole, despite not officially being in a relationship with William at the time (THEY WERE ON A BREAK, etc). It's reported that she was treated to a prime viewing spot in a royal box and after being spotted chatting with Zara Tindall, rumours began to fly that she and William might be getting back together... Peak noughties nostalgia right there.

Also, just for fun, here's a photo of Prince William and Kanye taken on the same day:

Can't wait for clubs to reopen in the hopes of spotting Wills tearing it up on the dance floor of our local Vodka Revs. 🙏
