Rihanna cements the side fringe as autumn 2022’s biggest hair look

The side-fringe that was once trending circa 2006 (thanks to the MySpace 'scene' era) has now made its way back around into today's big beauty looks with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Billie Eilish and Kate Hudson all rocking the hairstyle. However, one influential celebrity has just cemented the look as one of autumn 2022’s biggest hair trends, thanks to her wearable cut and that is – yep, you guessed it, though the clue was in the headline – Rihanna.

Just the other day, the singer-superstar-meets-beauty-mogul took to the streets of New York with her partner, A$AP Rocky, to attend his 'Rolling Loud After Party'. And what better place than a party to debut Ri's new hair transformation?

Her hairstylist and genius behind the effortless style, Yusef Williams called this hair look both 'clean' and 'edgy', captioning his Instagram post: "Keep it nice and easy!!! Stepping out sleek with @badgalriri clean edgy Beautiful Hair...". Whilst the low ponytail has been gelled back, Yusef has kept her side-parted fringe out on full display. The length sits between ear and shoulder length with it grazing over her eye, just like we all wore it in the 00s.

With Priscilla Ono on the makeup, this look was sure to be a serve. To match the Y2K hair, Priscilla has opted for a noughties-inspired beat, which includes a dark brown lip line and a silver iridescent eyeshadow.

Not only do we love the beauty of this glam but we also love the pap snaps of Ri and A$AP. See the adorable couple below:

Romance aside, if you're debating whether to maintain the short length of your curtain bangs or grow them out, why not opt for the latter and style that 'in-between phase' just as RiRi has?

I mean, if this look is anything to go by then we should all be jumping straight on the trend.
