The Rookie's Jenna Dewan reveals future of on-screen romance with Nathan Fillion
Nathan Fillion and Jenna Dewan's romance on The Rookie is heating up and fans are eager to know what will happen to them in season five.
The pair opened up about the on-screen relationship between their characters, LAPD's John Nolan and firefighter, Bailey Nune, in a new interview with ETonline.

Discussing what viewers can expect of the partnership, Jenna said: "There's a lot of twists and turns to come. I feel like every episode I read I'm on the edge of my seat and then I'm like, 'Aw, I get to do that? I get to do this?' It's really really fun.

"Nolan and I are always up and down. We're kind of on this big, fun, dramatic rollercoaster but there are some really sweet moments coming up, which I was excited to read and to film."
She continued: "Bailey has a ton of action-packed great moments coming up, which has been really fun for me as an actress because I feel like I'm a frustrated stunt girl. So that's really fun to look out for," she teased.

"I don’t know how they do it, but every season they continue to top themselves with all the fun writing and twists and turns, so it's exciting."
Fans are excited to find out where their character's relationship is going
Nathan also discussed his relationship and admitted it's one of the best things going for his character this season.
"If one part of John Nolan’s life is going right and well and smoothly, it is the Bailey aspect of this life," he said. "They’re not without their arguments and their different perspectives on things, but they seem to get together very, very well. That’s actually the one part that's going smooth[ly]."

Nathan recently sent fans into a tailspin when it was revealed that he had been reunited with his former Buffyverse co-star for the new season of The Rookie.
Jenna plays a firefighter in the hit show The Rookie
J. August Richards shared a snap of himself with Nathan on the set while filming season five of the hit cop show, writing: "A reunion, of sorts, with my buddy @nathanfillion and my first time working with the incredibly talented and lovely @lissethchavez on @therookieabc!!!

The actor previously starred in Angel as Charles Gunn, who is the leader of a gang that protects his neighborhood from vampires. Meanwhile, Nathan previously starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Caleb, a sadistic priest.
