Sarah Hyland asked Vera Wang to include pockets in her wedding dress

Sarah Hyland asked Vera Wang to include pockets for a handkerchief in her wedding dress as she knew she would cry during the vows.

The Modern Family actress tied the knot with radio personality Wells Adams at a winery near Santa Barbara, California on Saturday, with celebrities including Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Nolan Gould in attendance.

Reflecting on the light ivory silk faille sweetheart ballgown that she wore for the romantic ceremony in an interview for Vogue, Sarah shared that she had one specific request when meeting with iconic designer Vera about the gown for her big day.

"I had Vera Wang put pockets into my dress, so I was able to have my handkerchief and Q-tips at the ready," she said.

Sarah complemented her dress with a cathedral-length tulle veil.

"I tried on a dress at Vera's that fit the bill perfectly, and it all clicked," the 31-year-old smiled.

But for the after-party, the star changed into a soft white crepe gown with a draped neckline, hand-placed macramé lace, and draped tulle sleeves.

"There was no way I could decide between the two. I ended up adding another look to my array of dress moments," she continued.

However, Sarah wasn't done with outfit changes on her special day - she wore a Galia Lahav silk gown for the cake cutting and a short beaded Georges Hobeika Couture number for dancing at the reception.
