There is a lot to say about Sex and the City spin off And Just Like That, from Miranda's unpopular transformation to the surprise nudity. But perhaps the most bizarre part of the whole series was the fact that despite John Corbett confirming to fans that he would be reprising his role, Aidan Shaw simply never appeared...

Well, since the show concluded Corbett has apologised for lying about his part in the series and now Sarah Jessica Parker has responded.

The strange turn of events all began back in April 2021 when Corbett, who plays Carrie's second major love interest Aidan Shaw, gave an interview in which he confirmed he would be reprising his role and returning from the long-awaited spin off And Just Like That.

When the series premiered back in December 2021 and Big swiftly died in episode one, it seemed like the perfect set-up for Aidan to come back into Carrie's life. So fans were pretty confused when the show came to an end and Aidan was nowhere to be seen.

Since then series writers have called Corbett out for lying about his role and the whole thing swiftly got awkward. Well, now SJP has got involved, responding to the bizarre incident and also revealing something potentially pretty exciting in the meantime.

Speaking during an appearance on What Happens Live with Andy Cohen she revealed that Corbett has since apologised to her for the debacle.

'He actually reached out very kindly, 'cause he's nothing if not a gentleman, and apologised for doing that as a joke,' she explained.

'And then I was like, "No, no, no. I mean, it's a free country, first of all, and second of all, I thought it was kind of delightful and fun."'

She also gave us a little tidbit about the show in the future, teasing the possible, *actually* return of Aidan.

'Having said that, I think he would be … well I'm not gonna — I mean, yes, all of it is possible... All of it is possible,' she commented on Aidan returning for series two.

Here's hoping!
