Sex Education’s Mimi Keene has a super chic side fringe and it’ll make you want one, too
Sex Education is filled with some epic beauty moments, fact.
You have Lily’s galatic hair and makeup, Eric’s vibrant eyeliner, Aimee’s 70s-inspired hair flicks and Maeve’s iconic fringe – which was inspired by Beetlejuice’s Lydia Deetz, FYI.
But one character constantly bringing the lewks? Ruby Matthews. Not only is she constantly rocking radiant skin, aided by a slathering of Glossier’s Futuredew (a girl after my own heart), her hair is always decorated in the most stylish accessories.
If you’re a fan of Ruby, you’ll be pleased to know that Mimi Keene, who plays the Moordale High student (or is it Sparkside now???), is every bit as chic as her on-screen character.
Attending the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, Mimi’s hair was styled into the perfect side fringe that had plenty of volume in the roots. As for the rest of her hair, the team at Larry King blow-dried it straight and sleek with the ends flicked inwards.
Honestly, this look has given me some serious hair inspo.
For makeup, Mimi’s go-to makeup artist Naoko Scintu gave her sharp winged liner and a soft pink lip.
I have no doubt that style icon Ruby would definitely approve of this look.
