Because we absolutely didn't get enough of Adam Demos aka Brad in Sex/Life, we're already obsessed with Netflix's new rom-com, A Perfect Pairing, where he plays the lead. Here's everything we know about the new project, from release date to trailer and more.
What's The Perfect Pairing about?
The new Netflix rom-com follows American wine company executive Lola, who travels to an Australian vineyard to win her first major client. Only, er, she ends up working as a ranch hand, and hits it off with rugged local Max, aka Adam Demos.
The official synopsis reads, "When Lola (Victoria Justice), a hard-driving LA wine company sales exec, quits her job in hopes of starting her own wine distribution company, she eagerly books herself a plane ticket to rural Australia to chase her first potential client, Vaughn Family Wines.
"Unfortunately for Lola, the Vaughn Family is not interested in doing business with a fledgling company. Eager to prove herself, Lola volunteers to fill a vacant position on the Vaughn sheep farm as a farmhand. At first, Lola doesn’t seem cut out for the tough work of mending fences and wrangling sheep, but she and the dashing station manager Max (Adam Demos) strike up a friendship as he trains her.
"And, as they open up to one another, Lola discovers that Australia has introduced her to much more than just a love for entrepreneurship with a newfound love for Max. But will Max’s secrets prevent Lola from reaping what she romantically sows?"
Who will star in The Perfect Pairing?
Sex/Life's Adam Demos and ex-Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice are coming back to our screens for the rom-com. Victoria Justice from Zoey 101 and Victorious plays the fancy wine executive, opposite Adam. The rom-com will be directed by Stuart McDonald, who has previously worked on Netflix's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Australian sitcom Summer Heights High.
Do we have a trailer for The Perfect Pairing?
Yes! The first trailer dropped on 21 April 2022, and shows Victoria Justice's character (who so far doesn't seem to have a name), quitting her job in the US and flying out to Australia in an attempt to win a prestigious wine importation business.
When is the film due?
Mark 22 May in your calendars guys, because there's a new rom-com in town.
