Shania Twain is staking her claim as "mother camp" of the 2023 Grammys red carpet.

The Canadian songstress opted to wear an eccentric black and white polka dot Harris Reed suit with a matching hat and red wig to the award show — a look fans have nicknamed her "Mad Hatter phase."

"Shania Twain is giving Dr. Suess," shared one Twitter user.

"Here for Shania's Mad Hatter phase," wrote another.

"Shania Twain in Wonderland," said a third.

The "Giddy Up!" singer is among the list of superstar presenters at the 2023 Grammy Awards, joining the ranks of Cardi B, Olivia Rodrigo, Billy Crystal, James Corden, Viola Davis, Dwayne Johnson and First Lady Jill Biden.

Twain, an 18-time Grammy nominee and five-time winner, told the Associated Press that she "didn't want to take [herself] too seriously" when planning her red carpet look.

"I wanted to add some pop of fun and cheer," the 57-year-old said. "The outfit itself is just very fun, so I thought it would be, especially since I'm not up for an award tonight. I'm here to celebrate other artists; I didn't want to take myself too seriously. I just want to have some fun and celebrate everybody else."

Twain's outfit has divided Twitter users, with some fans calling it part of her "slay era" and others telling the "Waking Up Dreaming" singer to "give Cruella her clown costume back."

"Please stop with the cheap wigs and dumb outfits. Act your age and embrace your natural beauty!" wrote one critic.

Despite naysayers calling the look a "flop" and writing, "it's giving cow," her fans couldn't get enough of the eye-catching suit.

"She served! She mothered! Yass! 9/10," praised one user.

"Shania Twain wants everyone to know that she's still the one!" wrote another.

"Shania really is an icon through and through!" lauded a third Twitter user.

Shania's new album Queen of Me was released on Feb. 3, marking her first full-length project since 2017.
