Kym Marsh was told she had the "body of a 20 year old" after her latest impressive Strictly Come Dancing performance.

The TV star, 46, showed off her toned figure in a revealing 1980's style outfit for a Fame-inspired routine with partner Graziano Di Prima during the BBC show's 'musicals' week.

Praising the energetic routine last night, judge Craig Revel Horwood said: "Well there's no room for error especially when you're wearing a leotard darling and purple tights.

"But I've got say amazing and you've got the body of a 20-year-old, fantastic! You did brilliantly, you really did."

Many viewers – who were tuning into the show a day earlier for one week only due to the World Cup – agreed that Marsh looked amazing.

When the presenter posted after the show on Instagram, fans commented that she looked "amazing" and "fantastic".

Her toned figure is likely in part to be due to the gruelling training schedule contestants have to undergo to practice their dances each week.

Marsh hasn't previously shared much about her exercise routine, but she released a fitness DVD in December 2015 that was focused around circuit-style workouts that didn't require big weights.

Speaking about her cha cha cha routine before the performance, Marsh revealed it was a tribute to 'Fame' singer Irene Cara who passed away last month.

She said: "When I hear that song it just takes me right back to when I was a kid. [It's such] a legendary tune, from a legendary singer. It was always going to be an honour [to dance to the track], now even more so."

It comes after the presenter and her dance partner were forced to skip a week of the show after she tested positive for COVID-19.
