The UK's most Instagrammable locations revealed
It might feel like spring is still a distant memory at the moment. We’ll thank the UK’s weekly storms for that.
Alas, we can still dream.
Spring is in touching distance now which means beer gardens, daffodils, two layers rather than upwards of ten and well - just generally leaving the house.
To get us in the mood, Forest Holidays has analysed almost 100,000 Instagram pictures to come up with a definitive list of the most Instagrammable places to visit this spring.

The Lake District’s rugged terrain features everything from lakes to mountains. It’s unsurprising that this staycation hotspot clinched first place.
The Lake District hashtag features over 2 million images of the holiday destination, so you won’t be short on travel inspiration if you do decide to make it your spring staycation.
Snowdonia’s impressive national park came in second place. The northwest Wales location is a must for the adventurous among us who will surely marvel at Wales’ highest mountain, Mount Snowdon.
In third place came the Peak District. It’s clear that Instagram users are suckers for a mountain-top view because the top three all feature breathtaking vistas.
The Peak District is known for its walks and steep limestone valleys as well as its quaint villages and dales.
It’s one of those places that looks good no matter what the weather.
The rest of the top 10 feature equally beautiful boltholes nestled amongst English countryside.
The New Forest was another highly recommended location, known for its heathland and forest trails. Equally Instagram-worthy was Dartmoor, famed for its natural beauty and rugged rock formations.

Scotland’s picturesque countryside featured twice in the top ten, firstly with Loch Lomond and The Trossachs and then with Cairngorms.
Loch Lomond has been one of Scotland’s most visited places for as long as we can remember, and with good reason.
The southern Scottish lake is home to red deer, making it a great spot to cycle (there are plenty of cycling routes) or walk around and take in the scenery.
In the Eastern highlands, the Cairngorms are a mountain range not to be missed if you’re into breathtaking views (er, who isn’t?)
It gets pretty freezing there in the winter, hence why this makes the perfect spring getaway.
